What warehouse operations are eligible?
Eligible operations may include warehouses not otherwise classified, mini warehouses, cold storage warehouses, private warehouses, owner-occupied warehouses, and lessor's risk warehouse buildings, subject to commodities stored and underwriting review.
Are distribution and fulfillment centers eligible?
Distribution centers, fulfillment centers, and logistics facilities may be considered as warehouse operations, subject to commodities stored, operations, and underwriting review.
Are cold storage warehouses eligible?
Yes. Cold storage and refrigerated warehouses may be eligible, subject to construction, refrigeration, commodities stored, and underwriting review.
Are owner-occupied and lessor's risk warehouses eligible?
Yes. Both owner-occupied warehouses and lessor's risk warehouse buildings may be eligible, subject to occupancy, operations, and underwriting review.
What warehouse insurance coverages are available?
Available options include General Liability, Commercial Property, and Excess Liability for eligible warehouse operations, on monoline or package basis.
How much property capacity is available?
Commercial Property capacity is available up to $2.5M TIV for eligible warehouse risks, subject to underwriting.
What Excess Liability limits are available?
Excess Liability capacity is available up to $10M over eligible underlying coverage, with a minimum premium starting at $1,000 and ACORD 131 required, subject to underwriting.
Are same-day warehouse quotes available?
Same-day quotes may be available for eligible warehouse properties valued under $1.5M TIV when a complete submission is provided.
How many buildings can be insured?
Property coverage is limited to up to 3 buildings per account, subject to underwriting.
Are manufacturing warehouses eligible?
Warehouses used for manufacturing are generally ineligible for package quotes but may be considered for monoline General Liability, depending on the operation and underwriting review.
What operations are prohibited or restricted?
Restricted exposures include warehouseman's legal liability, personal property of others, hazardous material storage, manufacturing warehouse package risks, and operations outside the stated underwriting appetite.
What documents are required for a warehouse quote?
Submit ACORD 125, 126, 140, and 131 forms as applicable, along with the Greenwood General warehouse supplemental application, currently valued loss runs, and supporting property and commodities information.
